Exhibit time

Well, I spent this past week in the Fresno Art Museum getting the final touches on Hush. We shipped three large boxes via Amtrak the week before and everything arrived in great condition.

I spent the first few days laying out my large panels and deciding where to attach them, sewing extra panels, and patching up some of the really delicate areas.

The x's are locations where my support system will go and below you can see the museums' great intern Zoë constructing the stick supports and laying them in place ready for their wire. Thanks a bunch Zoë!

The long days of work just made things sillier.

Testing out the armatures and getting a look at the shadows.
I have one large panel to sew this weekend and we're hoping to get everything suspended and lit on Monday.

We had a fun photoshoot at the Fresno bee on Friday with Donald Munro and a small feature in the paper to come out January 27th.

Julia Woli Scott and Leslie. Where are our stylists?

All of us at our own photo shoot at the museum. Leslie, Nigel, Terrance Reimer, Caleb, Julia, and me.
Thanks to Terrance for snapping the shots while we were at the Fresno Bee studio. He was such a sneaky scene snapper.

This is Caleb Duarte's exhibit mid construction. He's exhibiting in the other half of the gallery and has a performance element that will be really surprising. He will also have some projection and I'm excited to see how his work and mine will look side by side at completion.
