Summer getaway

Zach and I hit the road this week. We drove 8 hours south into the misty woods of Northern California for some family camping. Patrick's Point has been the all time favorite camping spot for my family for years.

Patrick's Point is a wooded wonderland, right off the ocean so you can hike tons of trails overlooking the sea. This visit we had time to explore the areas nearby.

We saw Elk, lagoons and the highlight of the trip was Fern Valley.
My Parents had seen this spot featured on California Gold, and apparently some scenes in Jurassic Park were filmed here.

See that large rock in the center, that was our fishing spot.

Not that Portland is hot, but nothing compares to the misty mornings, sweet baby bunnies and the surprise banana slug.
