Last week

J and I made jelly!.
I call it fruit punch flavored , it has strawberries, apples, tangerine juice, ginger, rosemary, one kiwi and a little bit of banana.
Our 2nd story window is awesome, we love watching the birds that visit the trees all day long.

Last week I had two days off and spent the entire days inside trying to recover from a flu or cold or something I caught from the kids. It was nice to make a mess and paint again.
Inspired by my Audobon book

I have been thinking about paper cranes again.

Ok so recipe of the week was Tuna Noodle Casserole. I have been craving this for awhile now, but didn't like the idea of standard casserole that I grew up with. We ate this a lot as a kid and it consisted of egg noodles, a can of cream of mushroom, a can of corn and a can of tuna, lots of cheese and potato chips sprinkled on top, a la dad's extra touch.
So I remixed it, and if you know me you know I love to cook a lot of veggies in my meals.

sauteed onion garlic broccolli asparagus and cauliflower added fresh crimini mushrooms and the can of cream of mushroom, can of corn and can of tuna. I let all that simmer for a bit while the egg noodles boiled, cooled and then were rinsed

Mixed it all togethr in layers, then stirred it up adding fresh ground pepper.
Covered it with cheese, parmesan, cheddar and mozzerella, then added some asparagus garnish.

deeeelicious!
